School Uniform Policy
Uniform is worn at Crockenhill to develop a sense of pride in being a member of the Crockenhill School community. The school colours are red, white and grey. We believe uniform to be an important part of the ethos of the school, and we therefore urge parents to support us in this.
Please find detailed below the current school uniform requirements:-
All clothing, including footwear, should be clearly marked with the child’s name.
Children should wear black school shoes which are safe and suitable for school wear. No sling backs or mule type shoes, and no trainers should be worn. Boots may be worn on the journey to school but shoes must be worn during the school day.
On all special school occasions and visits all children will be required to wear school uniform.
Winter Uniform Socks/Tights
Red sweatshirt with logo Girls – White socks
Red knitted pullover/cardigan Grey or Red tights
Grey trousers/Grey skirt or pinafore
White shirt/white blouse Boys – Grey or Black socks
Red tie (optional)
Black school shoes (no trainers/no boots)
Summer Uniform Bags
Red sweatshirt with logo EYFS & KS1 – Red Book bag
White polo shirt with logo Y5&6 – Small rucksack or shoulder bag
Grey skirt/Grey trousers/Grey shorts (tailored)
Sun hats may be worn in the summer months.
PE and Games Kit
T-shirt—White plain
Shorts—Black plain
Trainers (for outside games) for KS2
Plimsolls for KS1
A tracksuit is recommended for KS2 children playing outdoor games in cold weather.
A named drawstring bag will also be required.
Other Items including hairstyles and jewellery
Hair accessories must be dark in colour or match the colours of the school uniform.
Hair styles must be suitable for school and age appropriate. Extreme hairstyles such as coloured hair, tramlines or patterns shaved into the hair are not permitted. If we feel a hairstyle is unsuitable, we will ask for this to be rectified. Long hair must be tied back.
Small stud earrings are permitted, but must be removed for P.E. lessons.
Make up, nail varnish and tattoo/transfers are forbidden.
Children above Year R, will require an art apron (an old shirt is ideal)
