A brilliant effort by the Crockenhill School football team saw them exceed all expectations at Dartford F.C. Enthusiastically led by Mrs Angus & Mrs Hunt. The team played 5 matches against schools in the Swanley & Dartford area, narrowly missing out on reaching the finals day.
Playing together for the first time, the team had a tough start losing 3-0 to a strong Joydens Wood team. This defeat did not worry them and the players showed courage and determination to recover from this loss, going on to win their next 3 matches scoring 8 goals without conceding any.
In their last match, tiredness started to set in and despite the team’s best efforts, they finished in 3rd place in their group, a valiant effort in their first tournament.
All together a great afternoon, played in the correct spirit, with many smiles on and off the pitch.
